The deal
Terms of use.
The short version: design freely, buy from the retailers you love, be decent to the service, and remember we’re a young product doing its best.
What elsewhere is
elsewhere is a design tool: you build rooms in 3D with real, buyable furniture. It’s free to use while we’re in early access. It’s operated by Elsewhere LLC, a Connecticut company (“we”, “us”).
We don't sell the furniture
Every piece links to a real retailer, and prices come from their listings at the time we saw them. When you buy, you buy from the retailer — their price, their stock, their shipping, their returns. We work hard to keep dimensions and prices accurate, but 3D models are generated automatically and listings change; always check the retailer’s page before ordering. Some links earn us an affiliate commission, at no cost to you.
Your rooms are yours
You own the rooms you design. By saving them with us you give us permission to store and display them back to you — that’s it. Delete them (or your account) whenever you like. elsewhere itself — the software, the brand, the catalog — belongs to Elsewhere LLC.
Play fair
Don’t abuse the service: no scraping our catalog wholesale, no hammering the import pipeline with scripts, no using elsewhere for anything illegal, and no importing images you don’t have the right to use. We have rate limits, and we’ll block accounts or traffic that break them deliberately.
Early access, honestly
elsewhere is young and provided as is. We aim for it to be reliable and delightful, but we can’t promise it will always be available, bug-free, or unchanged — features may evolve while we build. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us to use elsewhere (today: nothing). Nothing here limits liability where the law says it can’t be limited.
The boring-but-necessary
These terms are governed by Connecticut law. If we change them meaningfully, we’ll update the date below. If any part turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Questions or problems? Email hello@use-elsewhere.com — a person reads it.
