A living room our co-founder Clare designed in elsewhere
our story
Our story
A champagne, a coffee table, and eight months of code.
Growing up
Two kids who couldn’t leave a bedroom alone
We both grew up rearranging our bedrooms and begging our parents to let us repaint, redesign and move everything around. ALL. THE. TIME.
2018
Someone said we had to meet
An ex-student of Imogen’s mum told her she simply had to meet Clare. Imogen had just moved to New York from England to open a British cabinet company’s first US office. Clare had just left financial PR to switch to design. Match made.
The years after
Half cabinets, half Parsons
Clare worked with Imogen part-time while doing her MFA in interior design at Parsons part-time, because one big thing at a time is no fun.
February 2026
The coffee table problem
One Friday night, over champagne in Imogen’s Greenwich Village apartment, a confession: a year after moving in, she still had no coffee table. You can’t tell which one’s right until you see it in the room. So we decided to build the thing that shows you.
Now
Ten thousand links later… elsewhere
Eight months of teaching ourselves to code, and about ten thousand shop links, until they finally turned into proper 3D. We hope it’s as useful to you as it is to us. Now go find your coffee table.

Two friends, one coffee table problem.

We built elsewhere and design its rooms together; Clare’s the face of it because Imogen would rather be anywhere than in front of a camera. Still can’t pick a coffee table.
Twelve years in interiors; degree in interior architecture

Designing your room costs nothing. If you buy something through a link in elsewhere, the shop may pay us a small commission. Your price stays the same, and it’s why we only pick pieces we’d actually buy.
What we’re buying, saving and talking each other out of at the moment. Everything in here can go into your own room at its real size, so you can see it there before you buy it.
